Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her family consisted of an aunt who worked as household worker and father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing from a young age, and frequently performed plays with puppets for children in her area. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the entertainment industry. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 when she starred in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on another firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a great success. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. The book revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity while on stage of the show during its fifth season to Barry Williams. The time was when she was 16, and he was 19. It was likely that we would have a romantic romance, she said. However, the timing was not the right time.
